Setup
The new Setup section provides a unified place to configure the core transaction building blocks in Xetta Next. Found at the bottom left of your menu, Setup synchronises with desktop applications for a consistent, intuitive configuration journey.

Dashboard for Transactions, Gateways and Tenders
Your landing page now offers real-time visibility of transactions, gateways, and tenders by store or location. This helps you quickly spot issues, identify trends, and make confident, data-driven decisions.

Transactions
The enhanced Transactions (formerly Transaction Enquiry) gives you:
- Faster discrepancy resolution
- End-to-end transaction tracking
- Direct refunds and voids

Receipt Searching
Receipt Searching makes it easier than ever to find the exact information you need. Enter your search criteria, such as receipt number, customer name, date, or amount and the system will return accurate results quickly.
Advanced Export Feature
The new advanced export feature lets you select reference data templates, choose the format, send results via email, and automatically save copies in your export folder. Performance has also been improved for faster processing.
Refunds and Voids
Perform refunds and voids directly from the Transactions page. Finance teams can now:
- Add refund reason
- Send refund receipt emails
- Change refund locations (based on access permissions)
- Add reviewer comments
- Adjust line items and quantities
- Issue clear refund receipts for audit purposes
Invoices
Invoices (formerly Invoices Enquiry) provides a comprehensive audit trail of invoices, supporting compliance, fraud detection, and faster resolution of discrepancies.

Orders
Replacing Merchandise Enquiry, the new Orders page centralises order management. Track statuses, mark as paid, void, or view shipping details all in one place.

Events
The new Events page (formerly Conferencing Enquiry) brings event management into a single hub, with attendee information, payment records, and progress timelines. A shareable event URL will launch later this quarter.
Manage Website Users
The Web Users makes managing website end users easier. You can view contact details, status, login history, receipts, and access rights in one place. Drill down to their receipts, account information, and access rights, providing greater visibility and control.

Refunds and Refund Review
This new feature provides full visibility of completed actions, ensuring accountability for audit purposes. It also supports workflows with role-based transaction amount and tender approval settings, giving your team greater control and oversight and includes comments to strengthen documentation and create robust audit trails.
My Review
This feature is specific to each user, displaying only pending refunds that require approval. This personalised view helps you focus on the actions that matter, speeding up workflows, reducing errors, and ensuring approvals are completed accurately and on time.
Electronic Journal
It is now easier to access and view the register activity, encompassing back-office receipting and file uploads, bulk imports, and in-person register payments. It provides transparent reconciliation, making it easier to troubleshoot issues as they arise.
Reference Data
The improved Reference Data tool (formerly known as Reference Data Enquiry) provides deeper visibility into you Reference Data. E.g. student IDs, invoices, tuition, grants, fines, and more, offering a comprehensive financial footprint for auditing.
What’s Next
Bulk Importing
Our enhanced Bulk Importing tool will be released in version 1.5 Q3. All bulk importing will now be included in one place, making it faster, more accurate, and easier to upload your files or add-ins.
Session Manager *Major upgrade
The Session Manager will soon feature:
- Centralised session views across locations
- Icons, progress bars, and tab views
- Scheduled closes and clear transaction summaries
- Quick access to transactions
This upgrade provides a more intuitive and time-saving session management experience.
